Director's Meeting
Monday, 30 April 1951
Mr. 'Dulles re orted that he had reviewed all of the various
projects with of which there were about twenty odd still
active. He stated that he would close out the projects as they were
finished there and not open any new ones. He indicated that discussion
was held as to how to strengthen the situation in and that he
would approachI Ito get them to send shipments of
Mr. Dulles reported that the change in government in Iran
was an indication of extreme right Nationalism which would be both
anti-foreign and anti-Soviet. He said that the greatest fear was
that the next change in government might be to the extreme left.
Mr. Jackson reported the case of an 0/PC employee who had made
certain statements concerning the President and General Marshall. The
Director wanted the case investigated and if the individual acknowledged
making the statements he be released from the agency immediately.
The Director stated what he wished to have prepared for possible
Congressional testimony on the MacArthur case. (See draft memo dtd
30 Apr 51, subject: Statement on CIA's position on Intelligence in the
Far East.)

Mr. Jackson said he wished to confer with Mr. Wolf on space
allocations in the Administtation Building. The Director stated that
on our eventual move to the II Building he wished costs held
to a minimum, with interim moves preceding that.
