Approved For Release 200 : Ft1OB01676ROO2300040029-4 Monday, 11 June 1951 1. Mr. 0 briefly discussed our reply to the Bureau of the Budget regarding semi-autonomy of field installations. 2. Mr. II brought up the question of the assignment of military personnel to CIA and indicated that the project fi might have to he curtailed in view of lack of qualified personnel. It was noted that in a great many instances projects are laid on without prior consultation with our logistical people. It was also noted was in all probability concurring in our projects with little or no prior thought as to required logistical support. After considerable discussion it was agreed that: (a) Future projects should be coordinated with CIA Central Administration. (b) Thought should be given to the advisability of Navin,=r a representative of Central Administration participate in discussion of CIA projects 3. Mr. 1Leber noted that a paper on requirements had been prepared by the Requirements Committee. 4. Col. stated that the DCI had indicated he preferred to have Saturday mornings free rather than having conferences with various CIA personnel. ,. A brief discussion was held on interviews between representatives of CIA and individuals seeking information on which to base articles they might be writing on intelligence. 6. Mr. (a) Arrangements have been made to keep material on hand in the teletype room which might be needed by the DCi for Presentations to Congressional Committees and or individual members of Congress. (b) Too few items were being received for the Director's Log from AD/IC.
