25X1 Approved For Release 2002/07/29 : CIA-RDP80BO1676R002300010019-8 16 April 1951 1. Mr. V,olf stated tnat he was transmitting to each Assistant Director a memorandum on the Emergency Plan. He empha- sized that the figures given in these memoranda were arbitrary and stated that he would be glad to discuss them with any of the Assistant Directors. It was decided that after the Assistant Directors had had the opportunity to review the Plan, it would be discussed at a later meeting. 2. Colonel Baird reported that the indoctrination course had apparently been received with whole-hearted enthusiasm throughout the agency. He quoted from the comments of one Assistant Director to the effect that it was extremely valuable for old employees as well as new ones. After discussion, it was decided that the indoctrination courses would be continued and would include old employees who desired to attend and could be spared by the Assistant Director. General Wyman suggested that considerations be given by the Training Division to giving a course in rapid reading for the uncleared pool of personnel. Colonel Baird said that this was already under consideration. 3. Mr. Douglass raised a matter of special concern to his office, and stated what action he contemplated taking. There was agreement by both .,D/SI and AD/i L that his plan was highly desirable. 4. 1 ::1 stated that he had given considerable thought to items to discuss in the Assistant Directors' meetings as a result of Mr. Jackson's comments that too few problems of general concern were raised by the assistant Directors. He stated that one problem of common concern was what procedure snould be adopted to prevent 0/PC operations from misleading intelligence advisors and estimators., after some discussion, it was recommended that discuss his problems with AD/NE, AD/&), AD/CI and attempt to work out some corrective mechanism.
