SUBJECT : Your Memorandum for Record, dated
25 Tune 1964
1. Reference the subject memorandur , I have just this
r morning seen it after returning from the trip I departed on Thursday
afternoon. I understand that in the light of conversations you have
subsequently held with Mr. McCone, the subject memorandum is
now of purely academic interest.
2. I do want you to know, however, that the memorandm does
not conform to my understanding of our discussion Thursday.
Most of which you put forward. I made no agreement of any kind,. nor
did I commit the Agency or the Director to any course of action.
4. This confirms my oral statement, same date.
