sented the Agency at Duntil about six months ago when he was
assigned to J. J. Hitchcock's Collection Guidance Staff. At the

I have told J. J. that assignments of CIA personnel in
other agencies is a matter which should be approved by Kirkpatrick
and you. He got the message.
2. That DIA memo which Kirk brought up at the 5 November
morning meeting concerning DIA capabilities in the field of military
economic intelligence was sent to DD/I by Kirk for direct action at
the DD/I level. In his memo Joe Carroll asked that representatives
from the two agencies get together to work out terms for close
cooperation in this field.

4. An Agency Employee Bulletin has been issued reminding
all employees of the periodic Agency need for contract translators.
Some of the work can be done at home. Pay is based on a word rate.
All employees are asked to notify the Personnel Office of any candi-
dates for this kind of work.

2. McGeorge Bundy has issued NSAM #267 which establishes
a review committee on which the DCI will sit to advise on the desira-
bility of any AEC or DOD proposed nuclear tests which might result
in accusations of a US violation of the Test Ban Treaty.
Other members of the committee which will be chaired
by Bundy are: Rusk, McNamara, Seaborg, Taylor, Foster and
Wiesner "or their designated representatives. "

4. Macy, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, has
written to the DCI to advise him that of the CIA has been 25X1
selected to anticipate in the Internship in Congressional Operations
this year. ~is the Personnel Officer in OSA and is a ~ 25X1
