NOTES FOR DDCI
24 December 1963
1. I have had a coip le telephone calls from branches in DD/P
asking permission to use yours and DCI's name in passing holiday
greetings to appropriate foreign contacts. This is usually an SOP
sort of thing and I have concurred, as has Walt for DCI. Is this OK?
reports that for the two-week period ending
U-2 coverage of Cuba has been satisfactory.

5. As you probably know, the Joint Chiefs and the NMCC
have apparently been somewhat confused about who their peg points
are at CIA in discussions concerning the NMCC. has 15X1
written to Admiral Riley explaining that policy matters connected
with the Master Plan for the National Military Command System
are to be taken up with whereas day-to-day operational
liaison can be taken up with DD/I, particularly JJ Hitchcock.
