1? I Icalled for you yesterday
afternoon. talked with him in your absence. He was in town but
left in mid afternoon to return to Akron. He would like to chat
with you about Colorado College. He visited the institution this
past weekend. Seems his daughter will be going to college and
Bob was much impressed with Colorado College. He thought
you might have some info that would be helpful.

2. advises in writing that the monthly NRO
forecast for February has been approved by Special Group members.
The JRC forecast was approved with the exception of 1 :1 /X1
The theatre com-
mander is being queried to provide justification for moving as
close to the coast as 12 miles. Approval was also given to Dez
FitzGerald's lope rations.
3. State has asked us to use all available agency assets in
to convincel to accept the peace-keeping force
and to puncture the "fallacy that the UN is his best hope and that

4. You will recall Alexis Johnson's recent query to you
about operation which was a proposal to collect ELINT
fro o nson recently queried the Ambassador
for his views. The Ambassador notes in his reply that the highest
military levels have weighed the risks involved and thinks
the operations well worth undertaking. The Ambassador strongly
recommends that we go ahead with the projects.
