Shortly after returning from Europe, I was asked
by United Press International to write a short
article on religion as I had observed it in Russia.
I delayed doing this for two reasons; first, because
of my illness and second, I did not want to make
any statement or write anything that would hinder
in any way the President's opportunity for im-
proved relations with the Russian Government.
I have now had an opportunity to set down these
few thoughts. Could I impose on you to read this
and give me your judgment as to whether or not
I should consider releasing it for publication.
