Recently Mr. Bernard Rosen, Deputy Executive Director of the Civil Service Commission, called Colonel White to mention interest in intelligence work. STAT Colonel White invited STAT I Ito come to Headquarters today, and I spent about an hour telling him about the Agency's missions and functions, the nature of intelligence work, and the talents and capabilities we seek when hiring young man and women. 2. I described the Career Training Program and explained that most Career Trainees are in their mid-20's, have advanced degrees, and have completed their military service. 3. At the conclusion of our talk, said that he wa:~ STAT more interested than ever in intelligence work. both Colonel White and I urged him to contact the Agency again at the outset of his senior year to look into employment prospects as well as the de- sirability of continued schooling. 4. impressed me as a well-rounded and highly motivated young man of the type that would be a credit to the Agency. I think it would be worthwhile to give his name to the I Irecruiter so that he can maintain riodic contact with him.
