MEMORANDUM FOR: Mr. Chretien
SUBJECT : Telephone Call from the Wheeling,
West Virginia, Intelligences
1. On Sunday afternoon, 21 Jae. I received a call from an
unidentified reporter at the Wheeling. West Virginia, Intelligencer
saying that they had been advised by Senator Hubbard that I was
receiving some Presidential citation and asking for details. He
particularly wanted the text of the citation, and I advised him that we
would telephone it to Senator Hubbard's office when we had the text.
This telephone number is Wheeling, West Virginia, 242x2512, and if
Senator Hubbard is not there, please give it to his secretary (whose
first name, I understand, is Angie). The Intelligencer asked that
this information be available by early afternoon.
2. In the event that the Intelligencer and Senator Hubbard's office
does not have it available, the following is my relationship to Wheeling,
West Virginia.
My mother is the former Lyde Paull, daughter cif the late
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Paull. Her brothers and sisters, all deceased,
were Lee C. Paul, A. Singleton Pauli and Mrs. Arthur Hubbard, the
mother of State Senator Hubbard. (Mrs. Lee C. Paull and Mrs. A.
Singleton Paull are still living in Wheeling.) My first cousins in
Wheeling are State Senator Chester R. Hubbard, Mrs. Lee Hubbard
Simpson and Mrs. John Rankin.
