of National Estimates Memorandum, this new estimate will cover the sarne
ground as that covered in SHIE 11-5-64. Since this estimate will be
based largely upon CIA/BB ER 64-21, "Soviet Economic Problems in Mid-1964",
which does look to `1970, 1 strongly urge that the period of the estimate
be extended to at least 1970.
I would appreciate your referring this request to the Chairman, Board
of National Estimates, for appropriate guidance in the preparation of
BIB 11-5/1-.
e.g., SNIE 11-5-64, "Soviet Economic Problems and Outlook."
