DCI Meeting with the President's Foreign
Intelligence Advisory Board (PFIAB)
1. Annexed is a proposed agenda for your meeting with
the PFIAB scheduled for 2:30) to 4:00, Thursday, 1 December.
2. Item 3 involves a briefing on the activities of CIA in
support of the President's recent trip. We had intended to have this
briefing done by representatives of DDP jointly with representatives
of DDL You could take these gentlemen along with you, in which case
I would suggest to Mr. Coyne that it be rescheduled as item 1.
3. I can do as much or as little of item 1 as you wish.
I suggest that I give you a "talking paper" by way of summary of the
annual report on the comrrAunity, referred to as item I of the agenda.
4. 17 -rankly I arm unable to understand what is meant by
item Z which solicits "the DCI's views concerning the Board's con-
tinuing review" of counterintelligence activities. I presume that you
probably do understand this. If not, I will solicit further guidance
from. Coyne.

1. Highlights of the annual report submitted to
the Board by the Director of Central Intelligence,
October 10, 1966, on the coordination of the U. S.
foreign intelligence effort.
The DCI's views concerning the Board's
continuing review of the counterintelligence
operations of the CIA and other agencies engaged
in the foreign intelligence effort.
3. The provision of intelligence and counter-
intelligence support for the President's recent trip
to the Far East. (Suggested by the DCI)
4. Such other matters as the Director of Central
Intelligence may wish to bring up for discussion with
the Board.
