This is a follow-up an our discussion last week inviting you to
come over for a briefing at the Agency and to bring these members of
the White H*ue, staff that you think Haight benefit from such a briefing.
We would be particularly delighted to have Massra. Valenti, Moyers

come with you and any of the others that you think might
d in what we do and how we do it.
It weld be my proposal to seet up a briefing which would take you
through the entire organization, describing not only how we are
organized but, more particularly, what we are doing and why we are
doing it. With the current spats of publicity concerning the Agency,
think it is most important that the White House staff be aware of the
whys and the wherefores. As t mentioned to you at lunch, we would be
nary happy to do it any time, day or night, that would be convenient to
you and your ople. It would be best. Of course, if we could pick a
time When evi ybody would fool fairly free from the telephone and other
urgent mattes; so that we could got into some details.
Give me4 few hours' advance notice and we will be ready for you--
