I am attaching for your information a CIA memo on
Slily unstable situation in the Sudan which is marked
rapid increase in the influence of the Sudanese Com-
=unist Party. Tensions seem likely to increase and the
danger of violence is acute. A threat to American lives
and property is a continuing one.
