Paper
1. Part one of the National Policy Paper on
United Arab Republic ban been reviewed at various
stages by the Central Intelligence Agency. We have
no significant disagreements with the intelligence
judgments contained in the policy paper.
2. While I endorse those provisions in the
paper which have a bearing on US intelligence
activities, I have no comment to make on the broader
aspects of US policy toward United Arab Republic,
these being outside the competence of the Central
Intelligence Agency and the Director of Central
Intelligence.
