I have your letter of 24 August 1966 in which you note the
jurisdiction of your Committee and its Foreign Operations and
Government Information Subcommittee, which is under the chair-
manship of the Honorable John E. Moss.
As you know, the Armed Services Committee has primary
legislative jurisdiction of this Agency and it has appointed a
special subcommittee for Central Intelligence Agency matters.
In addition to responding fully to their requirements, it is our
desire to fulfill wherever possible the legitimate needs of other
committees of the House of Representatives.
Thank you for calling this matter to my attention. I am
very appreciative of your long, close relationship with the
Central Intelligence Agency. and you may be assured of our
Continued cooperation with your Committee and Mr. Moss's
Subcommittee.
