The Director submitted, for the Committee's records, a classified document on Communism in the Dominican Republic. In coon with this paper, it is important to not* that the account of events Lot the section of this payer entitled the rebellion is a reconstruction of developments based on reports which is some cases were received some time after the fact due to delays necessitated by security of communications and the chaotic situa- tion prevailing. (See page 411 of the transcript. ) 4. Senator it ndt reziuested a paper on typical c*rnmunist training wf such communists as were identified as active on the rebel side. A paper on this subject is being prepared and will be submitted separately for the Comxxeittee's records. (See page 414 of the transcript.) 5.
