This is to thank you more formall for your many
courtesies to me on my recent trip tol+-nd particularlySTATINTL
for the high honor of having dinner with you in your home. I
am sorry that Mrs. Carter could not be with me because I
have told her so many fine things about you both and she is
anxious to meet you.
I had the misfortune of being hospitalised for five days
in Honolulu on my return but am now back at my desk, fully
operational. Mrs. Carter was especially appreciative of your
thoughtftlness in sending her the lovely dinner cloth, place
settings, and napkins -? they are truly lovely and are a won-
derful addition to out home. We also much appreciate the boxes
of tea which have a most outstanding fragrance and which we
enjoy almost every day.
