Secretary McNamara remains deeply concerned over
the tide of battle in South Vietnam. In this connection, he
has had prepared detailed maps of areas of various
loyalties and requests CIA. cooperation in furnishing
the foregoing, and has been asked to make contact
with the Secretary's office on the above request.
Secretary of Defense wishes to talk to
and Cline immediately on their return.
Contact with the Secretary' s office and continuing
support should be coordinated between DD/P and DD/I.
