Responses from all posts are attached for the Committee's review. comments. Medium-wave facilities in Laos, Cambodia, and the Philippine were also examined, but none are available that could provide ac equa coverage of North Viet Nam due to either insufficient power or the use of frequencies that would suffer serious interference from othe., co-channel stations. This could be withdrawn from the exercise and moved by air with unit. Estimated 7 to .r0 days far the move and setting up. One additional 50 KW medium-wave transportable is now at Fort Bragg, but is damaged and without an operating unit. No est.-xnate is available as to the extent of damage, or the time it would take: to repair. If a high enough priority were set, some sort of operating; unit could be pulled together from the military. A 50 KW medium-wave transportable is now engaged in an operation in connection with Cambodia. Unless its present mission were scrubbed, this would not be available for the Viet effort. Airborne transmitters, based upon previous experience, would have coverage up to a distance of approximately 75 miles (assuming an altitude of 12, 000 feet), from a point below the aircraft's loci, on, This might provide some very limited coverage of North Viet Na x.
