a. Decision was to leave the project alone, filing it
for reference.
6. Strategic analysis:
a. Specific questions of interest:
(1) Anti-satellite capabilities and why they are
being developed. Whether this would be the first
indicator of a possible attack.
(2) New ICBM models. How inevitable is it that
this progression continue? What signs do we have that
there will be another generation coming?

(3) Warsaw Pact. Any buildup of the Warsaw Pact
conventional forces?
(a) This has an impact on MBFR - the Soviets
appear to be more forthcoming than the US here.
(b) Trends in the deployment of Soviet military
forces and what this means in terms of indications of
intentions.
7. Civil Defense.
a. R&D on new weapon systems.
b. Surprise attack and command "decapitation."
c. I should get Harold Brown's and Cy Vance's ideas on
this also.
