MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Telephone Conversatio with loyd Cutler,
21 September 1979 25X1
1. John McCone has accepted for next Monday. He will call the
Agency and ask for a car to pick him up rather than rely on the
White House.
2. Mr. Cutler will try to get him a reservation at the Metropolitan
Club or thl I Hotel and will notify us of what arrangements have
been made.
3. Clifford, Linowitz, Packard and Bundy have all accepted.
4. Hedley Donovan and Lloyd Cutler will come to the luncheo
Donovan will probably stay; Cutler will not after the luncheon.
5. Mr. Cutler thought our outline for the briefings sounded good.
6. He thought we should get across what the United States said to
the Soviets and vice versa during the Cuban Missile Crisis with respect
to ground units.
7. He thought we should get across the points that I showed him
today on why we think it is a training unit and why someone might think
it is not a training unit. I told him those were going to be ?jted
into my briefing. He agreed that was the best place to do it.l 25X1
