The Chairman called the meeting to order., called attention to the update note prepared by the Secretary, expressed his appreciation for the work done by each Team member in reviewing and commenting on the long version of the Team's draft report, noted that the new draft ;report reflected all the comments received, and suggested that the Team start at once to make the final review of the Team report. He. pointed out that the agenda included, in addition to final review of the report, selection of Team members for the briefing presentation to dODIB, discussion of the briefing assignments, and a mock "ad lib" presentation to CODIB, with the Secretary mocking for CODIBO By noon, of the first day it was apparent that the agenda could not be completed its one day, All Team members agreed to extend the meeting for an extra day, through Friday. *Attendance second day of the meeting only. Approved For ReleteW 2004/07/08 : CIA-RDP80B01139A00(0260003-8 as The Team agreed that the Chairman, Secretary and Washington contingent should complete the report graphics, should make final changes in the report, and should submit the report to CODIB as soon as possible, with the 19th of May being the preferred date. 2. The following results were achieved at this meeting: 25X1 b.. The Team agreed to make a special briefing presentation to CODIB, with the following assignments to highlight certain aspects of the report: Chip Team Member Topic - Brief statement of Team's Findings, Con- clusions, Recommendations, and "Why's." - Forthcoming acquisition systems technical characteristics and capabilities, related R&D. - The state of the chip, the inter-file problem, -technical characteristics and form proportionalities bearing on the chip interchange role, image transpositional possibilities within families of different- sized chips/roll film records. - The TIPI/SPO, its purpose, authority, pro- gress to date, status, and prospects. - Specialized applications of ARC (chipped) materials, i.e.. map making, storage, retrieval and reproduction; geodesy and geodetic analysis, implications for relations between the US and cooperating governments. - The Navy IOIS--the only fully-operating chip system in intelligence--its role, mission, application and success to date. - The "Exploitation Chip", its role in exploitation, progress to date, problems encountered, and prospects. - Organization aspects of the report, and broader recommendations. The Briefers also agreed to meet the day before the scheduled CODIB briefing for last-minute integration and a dry-run of the presentation. 3.
