for the CIA Retirement Fund

II. Investment Proposal
A. The following U. S. Treasury securities are submitted for your
consideration:
1. 4 1/8% U. S. Treasury Bonds maturing 15 November 1973 Yom'.
2. 4% U. S. Treasury Bonds maturing 15 February 1980
3. 4 U. S. Treasury Bonds maturing 15 May 1975/85
B. Specific Recommendation
Our Treasury advisors were contacted concerning investment choices
suitable for our portfolio. Discussions narrowed down to the three issues
mentioned above. ecommended that we buy of A-1
above to increase the short term portion of our portfolio and a e advantage
of the very favorable rate which as of today is 5.35. He feels after this
purchase which will give us in 1973 issuances that we should
develop our middle range portfolio by buying 1975/85 and 1980 depending in
each case upon the yield.
