1. Pursuant to my recent discussion with you, the following
is quoted from a medical survey of the Far East covering the period
1 July 1952 to 21 August 1952:
"Few individuals had any explanation of the fluctuati
deposits made to their accounts by Headquarters. 25X1A6a
medical personnel stated they had never received their twenty-five
per cent differential, having been informed that this would not be
forthcoming until their tours were completed. The general effect
has weakened the confidence of field employees in the Agency."
2. Also, in mother portion of the report pertaining entirely
to the situation the following is quoted: 25X1A6a
11,.49E investigation of paying allowances be made to
confirm and correct complaints that employees have not been fully
paid for as long as six months. (All medical personnel stated they
had never received their twenty-five per _ cent differential.)"
3. It will be appreciated if you will report your findings
and recommendations concerning the above quotes as soon as practicable.
