1. In view of the comments contained on page 5, paragraph
2c(l)(b), an on page 17, paragraph 3a(14,), the Finance Division
of this office made a complete review of the pay accounts of
staff employees stationed in

2. As a result of this review, it was determined that there
are five individuals who have not received salary differential
payments due them because of the .non-receipt in the Finance Divi-
sion of the required cable advice of their date of arrival in

nished eadquarters,which is the authority for initiating payment
of differential and post allowances if applicable.
3. The Finance Division has initiated a cable requesting
this information; and, upon receipt of the reply, necessary adjust-
ments of their pay accounts will be made.
4. According to the subject report, few individuals have had
any explanation of the fluctuating deposits made - to their accounts
by Headquarters. We know of no reason why the individuals are not
receiving advice concerning changes in pay, since change notices
are pouched to the station each pay period. It may be that the
remoteness of some individuals from the main base may have some
effect on their receiving the desired information. If the latter
is the cause, the station should take necessary action to rectify
the situation.
