As a result of the realignment of the acccunting and auditing
functions approved by the Comptroller General on J1arch 26, 1956,
Mr. Max Neuwirth will no longer be responsible for the general
supervision of the work which you have been doing at NSA and CIA.
In lieu thereof,, Mr. J. DeW. Johnson, Chief of the Civil Audit
Branch, will assume responsibility for general supervision of
your work at those agencies. This change does not mean that you
and Mr. Williams become a part of the Civil Audit Branch organi-
zation but it does mean that for purposes of general supervision
you will report to Mr. Johnson.
