requested four documents from the Center for Studies in
Intelligence, the IC Staff and NFAC. I have forwarded requests
to each of them.

Select Committee on Intelligence staff, called to tell us that
Chairman Birch Bayh (D., Ind.) had been served with a subpoena
in the Kampiles case by Kampiles' lawyer and that it is his

I said that I would look into it and get back to him.
7. (Confidential - DFM) LIAISON Received a call from
Hal Ford, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, who
informed me he would be at Headquarters tomorrow to finish
his review of Vietnam cables regarding the evacuation of
Kontum and Pleiku Provinces in 1975. I informed Ford we had
no information on an American missing in the Pacific in an
Air Force plane crash, but recently reportedly seen in China.
I suggested Ford contact DIA
and gave him the phone number. Ford agreed to do so.
8. (Confidential - DFM) LIAISON Talked with Tom Crowley,
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, regarding a
number of planned meetings. We agreed to 29 November at
10:00 a.m. for a meeting on the Hill regarding terrorism in
response to Chairman Birch Bayh's (D., Ind.) letter of 19 October.

9. (Unclassified - DFM) LIAISON Talked with Ted Ralston,
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, regarding
tomorrow's visit to NPIC. Ralston informed me Bill Miller,
Committee Staff Director, Earl Eisenhower, Steve Flanagan, both
of the Committee staff, and himself would attend.
10. (Unclassified - DFM) LIAISON Called Bill Miller,
Staff Director, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, to
ask if he would object if three Armed Services Committee staff
members attended] Chief SALT Support Staff, scheduleeX1
briefing tomorrow on SALT verification. Miller said he would
prefer to do the briefings separately.

the most recent Agency publications entitled "Handbook of
Economic Statistics - 1977" and "Major Oil and Gas Fields of
the Free World" to Leonard Shambon, of the House Judiciary
Committee staff, per his request.
13. (Unclassified - HMS) LIAISON Received a call from
Judy Frazier, Congressional Research Service, Library of Congress,
who requested the number of the "Polar Regions Atlas" so she
could request copies from DOCEX. I gave her the number.
14. (Unclassified - MG) LIAISON Per his request, sent
to Louis Luna, in the office of Representative Robert E. Bauman
(R., Md.), a copy of "Directory of the Cuban Government and
Mass Organizations."
