Az of early Augu*t 195 , .he large hail of the -?orwer VEB ; ac isenwerk Viedersedlitz which is located on the grounds of VEB Industriewerke Dreaden was completely equipped and set up for the production of aircraft. In addition to the normal production area, the hall contains a special depart-cent which only certain specialists may enter. Only engineers from Pirna-Sonnenstein are employed in this department. 2. Individual parts for the MW-15 jet fighter are being produced in the former Saa hsen- werk Niedersedlitz hallo Final assembly of the aircraft will not be made in Dresden but in Klotzsche. The final assembly was to begin by mid-September 1955. Material for the production of the MIO-15 comes packed in crates from Gruenhain near Karl-Marx Stadt. On the normal production area of the of/t VEB Sachsenwerk Niedersedlitz hall, three two-engine aircraft, Type IL 14, were under construction in early August. These were to serve as experimental models. In 1956, aircraft developed by the German specialists are to be produced. These aircraft are then to be exported. The type of aircraft in question is not known. 4. All airplanes for the defense of East Germany are to be manufactured and tested at Klotzsehe. Preparations being made at VES Industriewerke Dresden are merely intended to assist in getting aircraft production orndts feet, and aircraft for the defense of East Germany will not be constructed there. Aircraft for the VPL Volkspolizei Iuft-Air People's Police) is allegedly being developed by German specialists at Pirna-Sonnenatein. The airplane under development is to be produced later instead of the MIG-15. 6. The motors for the IL 14 come from Karl-Marx-Stadt (factory not known). The aluminum plate comes from Hettstedt (factory not known).1 Unidentified factories in Thal near Ruhla in Thuringia deliver the rivets required. Aluminum pressed parts for the I1 14 come from VEB Elektro-Chemisches Kombinat Bitterfeld. The steel which is used in the IL 14 comes from VEB Edelstahlwerk Doehlen-Preital.
