REMARKS
1. On 12 June, no air activity was observed at Puetnitz Airfield. Seven 25X1
jet fighters were observed on the 1 ceding field northwest of the sheep-
farm.
2. A large brick bunk,eT was observed near the Token-type radar set that was25X1
located on Haschenberg southwest of Ribnitz railroad station. It seemed
as if the radar set was erected on top of the bunker. The operating
personnel were quartered in this banker. 2
3. Almost every day between 26 June and 17 July, there was air activity at the
field. Intensive firing by jet fighters at towed sleeve targets was repeatedly
observed between 0500 and 2100. Elements of

4. At about 1300 on 11 July, nL air activity was observed. A total of 20 jet
fighters were ceunted on the landing field. At about 1355, 8 jet fighters
were towed by trucks from the western end of the auxiliary runway into the
hangars at the western edge of the field. 1

6. At about,1430 on 11 July, 4 airmen were playing in a ball game near the last
house on the northern edge of Damgarten Settlement. 25X1

16 July. At 1300, 6 jet fighters were parked on the field. At
about 1330, 5 jet fighters approached from the east and l.rideti in rapid
from east to west.
18 July. Between 1400 and 1700, firing at towed sleeve targets was practiced
along the Baltic Sea shore between Warnemuende and Graal-Mueritz. One jet
fighter towing a sleeve target repeatedly flew to the shore and then headed
toward the Baltic Sea. After a short time, heavy machine gun firing and the
loud noise of the engines of jet fighters was heard over the Baltic Sea.
The attacking jet fighters could not be seen from the shore but, according
to the noise, it was assumed that several jet fighters were involved.
20 July. At 0900, two formations of 4 jet fighters flying in V formation
approached from the east M.a very high altitude and circled twice over
the field; then descended to a lower altitude and headed north. At 0930,
7 jet fighters taxied from the hangars at the western edge of the field tt25X1
the d1s$rsal area in the western section of the landing field. 1
9. At about 0900 on 20 July, railroad tank cars and

Comment. It is believed that Puetnitz airfield is still occupied by 25X1
a i.g2ter division headquarters and two fighter regiments. Firing practices
at towed sleeve targets were repeatedly observed. Elements of the fighter
division Merseburg had apparently transferred temporarily to Puetnitz since
the jet fighter had previously been observed in 25X1
