1. The following observations were made in the Zerbst military post on
3 , y 1955 t
A large building in the northeastern section of Scharnhorst Kaserne was
fully occupied by Soviet Air Force -personnel. The following buildings
also housed air force Dersonnel:
a. The villa-like building on the connecting road bet"peen Dobritzer
Strasse and the road leading between the firing ranges.
b. The 5 villa-like houses north of Scharnhorst Kaserne on the
connecting rord to the firing ranges and the road called Zur
Blumenmuehle. The middle building housed an air force headquarters.
Opposite this building was the entrance to Scharnhorst Kaserne.
c. Some buildings on Dobritzer Strasse, north of the branch road to the
firing ranges and Goethe Strasse. Most of these buildings housed
air force officers and their dependents.
Comment. The buildings near Scharnhorst Kaserne which are occupied
by aYr force personnel are reported for the first time. For location
sketch of buildings, on the basis of available information, see Annex.
