1. On 28 ?;Tay 19559 a camp) site which included 11 ready tents and 21 tents 25X1
under construction was observed. on the southern bank of the Danube R:ver9
about 1 kilometer northeast of Y!elk. Motor vehicles parked at the site
inc'uded 10 pontoon carriers, 30 trucks, 23 loaded with small pontcons
and 2 loaded with motor boats, a crane truck, a tank tru.ck9 and 4 vnn-like
motor vehicle
van-like motor vehicle
were parked about 1 kilometer northeast ofd the above-mentioned tent ~rnp.
Amphibious .eep with a. driver wesnring blue-bordered black
epaulets which ws occupied by some officers wearing bl^.ek-bordered black
epaulets, one of whom wns.a colonel, was observed on a drive between the
motor vehicle parking lot and the tent camp. I
2. On 28 May 1955, about 30 soldiers whose service color was undetei ined
were observed practicing with two 65-mm AT pans and two e -iAm AT guns
in the area of the Birago Kaserne in Mel. k where 3 rucks were 25X1

On 30 t'ay 1955, some squads of 9 soldiers who were supervised by an officer
were observed practicing .,ith rifles and marching in review in the arer of
the Auhof Kaserne northeast of Urfahro An undetermined number of soldiers 25X1
worked on two SU-76 SP guns. Sixteen trucks and 2 van-like rotor vehicles
were parked under shedroofs9 and 4 trucks and 2 ear.=like motor vehicles
were parked in the open, L9otor vehicles observed at the installation
included van-like motor vehicles and trucks 25X1
all with drivers 1~earing red-bordered
black epaulets; truck with a driver wearing black-bordered red
epaulets-, and jeep In the morning, soldiers were observed
penetrating i: to a position and throwing hand grenades in the training area
west of the installation. At l3O09 66 soldiers who wore black-bordered
red epaulets, carried SKS rifles and gas masks, and were led by a ms..jor
and 5 officers all of whom wore block-bordered red epaulets returned to
the installation. 3
