This figure was originally set at 20 mw, but It was impossible to get the second boiler in time (imported), and the increase is not expected until November 1955. (b) See para.3 below. (c) This increase was originally scheduled at 40 mw, but the generator supplied by Allgemeine Elektricitaets-Gesellschaft (AEG) is capable only of 17 mw. (d) This represents the remaining 22 mw of which the AEG generator is capable; it was previously providing only 10 mw of its full capacity. (e) This brings the total capacity of Stalinstadt up to 75 mw. (f) Extra capacity was brought about by alterations to the boiler. (g) d boiler 2 Esain supp ies current to Czechoslovakia in exchange for deliveries of coal. 3. There was an accident at Hirschfelde power station on the morning of 23 March 1955, when a faulty connection in the oil pipe caused the newly installed 50-mw turbine to burst into flames and seriously damaged the installation. The entire supply of current, including that to Poland just over the frontier, was cut off for 24 hours and was resumed only when it was ascertained that the remaining equipment was not affected. The three workmen responsible for the work on the pipeline were arrested. It is anticipated that'repairs will take five or six weeks. 4.
