On 1 February 1955, by decision of the Ministry of Education, the following secondary technical schools were abolished without advance warning: a. The Secondary Technical School, which prepared apprentice engineers for graduation. b. The Secondary School of Health which trained the "FelcerQ1, i.e., the under-graduate doctors, formerly called assistant surgeons. c. The Secondary School of Agriculture, which was composed of three Sections: Mechanized Agriculture, Agriculture, and Topography. 2. All of the schools had German sections. After their dissolution the students were allowed to choose between a professional school, an apprenticeship, or an ordinary secondary school. For the most part, the students chose the professional schools. With regard to the teaching staff of these schools, no decision has as yet been reached.
