Border Security Measures
la At the Rozvadov (N 49-40,, E 12-33) check point security installations begin
50 motors from the customs shed. At this point there is a wooden watch
towetr on the right side of the road, To the right and left,, running laterally
alorig the borders are "nests"9 apparently one-man
observation posts. The olLowing are expressed in terms of distance from
the customs houses at ,6 kilometers there is a series of roar:1 blocks which
permit only one vehicle at a time to go throughg at 1,1 kilometers there As
a second series at 3 kilameters on entering the village of Fi'*Dzvadov there
is a wooden balance barrier manned by a uniformed guard at 3,,5 kilometers,,
i.n the center of the village,, there is another series of road blocks at
7,4 kilometers there is a fourth set^ie s s at 8 a3 kilometers a fifth series
and at 10,7 kilometers a sixth and final series.

singing what appeared to be Czech folk songs and the atmosphere was very gayA
many of the students were feeling a little high. On the entrance af the
