.l. On 6th January.1955, fuel reserves had dropped: to. amounts sufficient for seven
.anda half days. As a result of.the low temperatures, the peat atZalaegerszeg
and"Nagyapornak had frozen, and synthetic coal (peat-pakura) deliveries. had
stopped.
.2. On 4th January extensive traffic.. restrictions were..ordered,(e.g.) all inland
express.trains were cancelled until further notice).
