30 percent completed. It appears that the bridge will have three spans
and two river piers. Concreting work on the Polish side of the rive,,
ha.d already been started. Construction work seemed to be executed
exclusively by Polish firms and Polish workers.

Comment. The destroyed road bridges over the Neisse River are

concrete structure.
Comment. The official name of the road bridge over t%e 1"eisse River
,-.t Goerlitz is "Bruecke der Freundschaft" (Bridge of Friendship). The 25X1
bridge, a steel girder structure, was completed in December 1952.
