Between 0800 and 1400 on 16 October 1954, 38 MiG-15s, 1 Yak-11 and 1 biplane were parked near the pyrotechnics plant at ;'Wiener Neustadt airfield. The depression could not be reconnoitered. There was no flying. The sky was cloudless but there was light haze and a southeasterly wind of 5 km/h. 1 18 trucks including 2. The flight control station was guarded by a sentry wearing black- bordered blue epaulets. There was traffic by personnel wearing block-bordered blue epaulets between the flight control station and the barracks. MiG-15s Nos 614 and 919 and 1 gray crate were seen north of the flight control station between the flight control station and the church. Work was being done on the Mils. Occasionally their engines were raced up. Motor vehicles parked in the area of the eastern garage installation included 1 mobile flight control station, radio truck) van-like trucks, 2 Moskovich-type van-like trucks and fire truck Two trucks and 1 tank truck were pak-ked in front of the motor vehicle sheds. The aastern AA gun emplacement and bunker area had been leveled and could no longer be distinguished. 3 Personnel wearing red-bordered black epaulets were seen at the soi,.ithern AA gun emplacement and bunker area. There was no change in the status of the southern and northern rows of searchlights. Thirty-five fuel drums in groups of five were seen at the place where an underground fuel dump is believed to be located. A tank truck was filled by means of a hose. Two van-like trucks were seen near a wooden hut about 100 meters northeast of the presumed tank dump. Two wings leaned against the wall of this hut facing the landing field. They were about 120 cm wide, had rounded ends and were painted green. Sixteen soldiers wearing black-bordered blue epaulets practiced firing with pistols at the target range. A pile of gravel and broken stones which previously, had been seen just west of the target range north of the 'Wiener Neustadt- Bad Fischau road had been removed. About 100 meters north of this point, two underground bunkers, one of them with one chimLney, the other with two chimneys, were seen. The antenna mast north of the southern AA bunker area had been removed. Inside the glass device which resembled a trunkated pyramid, eight bar-snared lamps, each about 30 cm long were seen. On each side of the pyramid, two lamps were fitted about 2 meters apart. The lamps were fitted parallel to the sides of the pyramid. The crates were being hauled to the northeastern side of the hangar by a track fitted with a special hoisting gear. One i'MIiJ-15 was seen in the hanc'ar through an 0en door. Trucks and jeep and ambulance all with drivers wearing black-bordered blue epaulets were seen at the field. Six trucks and 3 radio trucks were pab:ed in the yard of the _A_rtillerie Kaserne. Twelve 37-mm AA guns, 4 four-barreled AA guns, 27 tricks and 1 van-like truck were seen in the area of the cantonment west of Wiener Neustadt. One mobile flight control station was parked in the motor vehicle shed in the yard of Nachrichten Kaserne. Motor vehicles seen in Wiener Neustadt included truck and van-like trucks The drivers of these vehicles were black- or ere ue e au ets? the trucks came from direction of Bad Fischau. Jeep with driver wearing black-bordered blue epaulets, truck with driver wearing black-bordered red epaulets and truck with driver no 20 personnel. wearing black-bordered blue epaulets came from the direction of Felixdorf. 4. Between 1100 and 1600 on 18 October, 4 MiG-15s l crane, 2 van-like crates, 4 gray crates and 2 van- like trucks were seen north of the flight control station at the point where tail sections of two aircraft had been seen on 16 Octoher.2 Work was being done on the Nits, the tail of one of which had been disassembled.. Two MiG-15s took off for individual flights of about 25 minutes duration. Van-like truck with driver wearing 50X1-HUM black-bordered blue epaulets proceeded from the flight control station to the eastern garage installation. MiG-15 and one Mi -15 were parked in front of the hangar at the aircraft repair shop Theresienfeld. 2 Two MiG-15s were pakred in the hangar. Eight gray crates were seen east of it. No personnel were seen near the aircraft. Between 0830 and 1500 on 19 October, 1 MI G-15, 2 tail sections of MiG-15s, 1 crane, 2 van-like crates, 4 gray crates, and 2 van-like trucks were seen north of the flight control station. Between 0830 and 1200, there was northwesterly wind which decreased from 20 km/h to about 5 km/h. After 1200, there was easterly wind of 5 km/h. At 1120, 2 MiG-15s toolt:
