1. At 2200 an 30 Jaac 1954, German locomotive eciumas etepa,ed opeealog
Soviet transit traffic through Poland. On 5 %Taro, the last German train
personnel returned to Fraakfurt/Oder. The trains leaving the GDR toward
the east will now be handed over to Polish railroad personnel at Oder-
teblecke railroad station in Frankfurt/Oder. The Polish personnel operate
these trains as far as aszewice or 0zeremcha whore they hand the trains
over to Soviet personnel.
20 Of the previous column personnel, 120 locomottve personnel and 60 train
personnel will be stationed in Frankfurt/Oder for the time being. he
remainder will be sent to their home stations at a rate of 40 men dally.2
3. Of the 150 locomotives previously stationed in Frankfurt/0der,36 will emain
there Seventy-two locomotives were rented to the Toleo and are to be returned
to the GDR within two yrars at a monthly rate of 3 units. The loconntSa(
handed over to the Poles were stationed at the following places: 18 at Posen,
18 at NUtnco, 10 at Sochaczewt 15 at Warsawp and 11 at SiedIce03
40 Eastbound trains are scorted by Soviet personnel stationed in the GDR as
far as R.pppen at which point this personnel is replaced by other escort
detachmants04

was reported previously. he Oderbrueeke railroad
station has been recently built between the eastern edge of Frankfort/Oder
and the Od$r River. The northern part of it was put into operation on 23
Nay 19540
Nalaszewice railroad station about 10 km west of Brest Litovskp tes newly
stablished as rail rauFe change point on Polish territory.
Sgmmake The return of the former locomotive column personnel to
their REDs was reoorted previously. Apparently a personnel reserve of about
10 percent of the original strength will remain at Frankfurt/Oder for the
time being.
