Maneuvers in the Dupnitsa (now Stanke Dimitrov) Area (16: Mapr 1954)
1. Nearly 200 empty military trucks were observed in the afternoon of 16 May
19511, crossing Dupnitsa from south to north. The trucks, which were of ZIS
and Molotov manufacture, were in excellent condition.. They were in groups
of about 20 trucks each. In the afternoon of this same da~, a small infan-
try detachment, in field uniform was observed in Dupnitsa.

2. The Bulgarian Army and the Trudovaks have received an unspecified number of
IFA trucks, coming from Eastern Germany.
1.~~Commeats This movement Of trucks may be part of either the man-
euvers of the~upnitaa Division (although this is not a normal time for
maneuvers) or the transportation, at-least partial, of this division to
its summer encampment. It may also concern the arrival of elements of
another large unit at the Yugoslav frontier.
