RD THE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 1. The radio antenna is located south of the Litovel-Nove Zamky road, about 600 to 800 in. northwest of the crossing' of the Litovel-Cervenka railroad line, and the road leading to Nove Zamky. West of this crossing are buildings of a sugar refinery with a high'smokestack. 2. Two of the radio masts stand approximately 30 to 40 in. south of the road; the third mast stands 70 m. from the road. The three masts form an isosceles triangle., The masts are about 80 to 100 in. high. They can be observed from as far as Olomouc. Red warning lights are fixed on top of masts. The masts were installed at the end of 1951 or the beginning of 1952. They support a treble aerial. 3. A military garrison of approximately 200 men has been billeted since 1951 in the former hotel Na Novem Zamku, 4 km. from Litovel, and in the former castle which now belongs to the Czechoslovak forests administration. The soldiers guard the area of the radio antenna. 4. West of the Nove Zamky-Kralova road between the northern edge of Nove Zamky and the adjoining f orest,is a wooden hut 40 x 10 in. large. About 50 members of an Auxiliary Technical Unit (PTP) are billeted there. About 100 m. north from the beginning of the forest near the Nove Zamky-Kralova road a small area of the forest is being cleared. This area is on the eastern side of tha lane, about 50 in. south of Ruzove Jezirko which is located on the western side of the Nove Zamky-Kralova road. The clearing of the forest started in the spring of 1953. Bulldozers are being used on the site. The whole area is 60 x 60 m. large.
