Following are some particulars of the Troeglitz hydrogenation plant for the
month of February 1954:
1. Personnel: Total number of employees--44115 including 498 administrative staff
members,
2, Electric Power Production: 3705000 kw (hours) per day.
3. Production during the month of February 1954 (quantities given in tons):
Gasoline 3170
Diesel oil 4300
Lubricating oil 1830
White paraffin (Slabs) 3760
White paraffin (liquid) 1650
4. Low production was caused by damage which resulted from very cold weather and
damage from four fires indifferent buildings.
5. Trade union meetings were held in the plant to discuss the fires. Sabotage
was suspected. Secret police and others in plain clothes are now stationed
in the plant. Workers are being questioned as to their sentiments and
general opinion.
