1. The development of an ultrasonic visual apparatus indicator (Ultraschalls!cht
geraet), which was started at VEB Carl Zeiss, Jena, in early- 1.953 by P.,?vofessor~
Schuster (fnu) and Dr. Trommler (fnu), was completed In early March 1.954. The
device serves the purpose of investigating metals through ultrasonic mea*e.
2. There are now two models of the completed device, one in the S. Lab. (Schw ,:^go.(ge-
labor). a (oscillation laboratory), and another one in KoV (Konstruktlor,. l
versuehsabteilung, (construction experimental department). The devices will
be tested there. After successful tests they will go into pr oducti.on and arm
supposed to appear on the :market in late 1955.
