Prior to 6 January 1954, th. f; Pionier Kaserne in Fuerstenwaalde as occupied
as previously by about 1,5M .troops wearing red-bordered black epaulets
with tank, artillery, signal and motor transport insignia. 25X1
on 4 January, 3 T-34/85 tank's left the installation toward Wad schaen ke (inn)
and, n 6 January, 4 T-34/85 tanks were observed. No 'raining

2. Prior to 6 January, the barracks installation on Braunsdorfer Strasse was

troops armed with carbines and submachine guns were seen in simulated
attacks in the area north of the installation. Source did not observe a
