1. On the railway line between Luckenwalde and Jueterbog, rails and ties
have been observed lying alongside the line between km 49'19 and km 52.7,
that is from Luckenwalde to approximately 1 km north of Forst.. Zinna. Rails
and ties are not,y'et available for double tracking the line from km. 52.'
as far as Jueterbog.
2. At the Scha fenbrueek junction, the old loop line of approximately
600r+.eters in length is being lengthened, and will eventually become a loop
of 800 meters. A new loop line, also of 80.0 meters, has been laid and is n6*
in operation.
3. The new single track Berlin northern outer ring between Brieselang and
Birkeiwerder, which was put into operation for freight traffic on 4 October
1953, will very shortly be carrying passenger trains. Apart from freight
trains, there is only one workmen's tiain operating from Brieselang to
Hennigsdorf Ibrd; this leaves Brieselang at approximately 6:14 a.m daily and
returns to Brieselang at approximately 6:38 a..m.l
