At a meeting of the Planxk.in? )ep .rtman;t of the East German r,rademv of
Sciences held in late October 1953. Director of the Academy Hat's Wittbrodt
announced that plans have been crtef'initeiy made for building a fI.ve ,story
Academy building at Mohre~istrass 40-42 in Berlin-Mitte. An expenditure

of the building is to be completed by the end of 1954
According to present plaazs the building is to house the following agencies:
a. The Institute for Research on the Physics of Solids, headed by
Professor F. Moeglich, now in Berlin-Buchc I/
b The Department for oarystal 6tructurc Analysis, headed by
Dr. Kaete Dornberger, now a department in the Academy lnstitub
for Medicine and Biology in Berlin-Duch. It is probab7. - that
Frau Dornberger's department will be transformed into an institute
