Since delivery of A-i-p devices began in September 1953,'a Russian .Acceptance Commission composed of five persons has been permanently present in the Zeiss firm. The Commission is headed by Ivahenko (fnu), an Air Force major. Another member of the Commission is-R&txirov'(fnu). In October 1953,the two Russians and an up.identified member of the Engineer Administration of the Soviet Trade Delegatiod in East fferlin negotiated with the Zeiss firm for the delivery of A-i-p devices to Russia in 1954.` In late October 1953, a contract .was 'S'igned -by the' Zeiss firm and the Russians for delivery in 1954 of 135 A-1-p devices and ten complete sets of spare parts. Delivery is to begin' on 31 July? 1954 and to be eompl-ethd by 31? November 1954 The contract expressly stipulates that the devices to be delivered in 1954 are not to have- any essential "structural,-and functional" change in comparison toy. the 195'; devices. THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 10 From early September to.the end,of October 19539 68 A-i-p aerial 25X1 training devices were delivered by VEB Carl Zei'8s, Jena, to the Russian Acceptance Commission for A.1-p Devices-6 The remainder of the total of 135 devices to be delivered in 1953 will be trans- ferred to the Russians between 1 and 30 November 1953. The 30 sets of spare parts ordered for 1953 will be delivered'from 1 to 1-5 November 1953.
