1. On -25 November 1953, the Adolf . tI`er Kaserne in Potsdam was occupied by about
1,500 to 2,000 troops who wore red-bordered black epaulets with tank insignia.
About 50 to 60 recruits were repeatedly engaged in individual training in the
barracks yard. Up to 10 tank trucks were frequently parked in the yard. Between
