in early June 1953 between 30 and 50 Chinese Communist junks were arriving
daily in Sinuiju.from Dairen. The junks were about 10 to 12 tons each and
were 25 to 50 feet long. They were unarmed and were operated both day and
night by Chinese. crews.
2. Between 15 and 25 sailboats, about 15 tons each, were arriving in Si:cuiju
from Antung each day.
