corps, which returned from special exercises on the Elbe River in the
DessauuAken area. According to previous reports
on transportation., these units went to Aken between 25 and. 28 May, coming
from Saa.i'eld, Crawinkel and Ohrdruf,
710ther inforriation indicated that four trains
went from Aken to the Erfurt regional
railroad district and the E senaclh railroad station between 10 and 13 August f:
These trains. arrong other units,, probably carried engineers of the XXIX Gds
Ptz Rifle Corps,, It can be assured that, after mid-August, the Dessau-Aken
area was occupied only by the two engineer regiments of the GOFG
eam.ent? The trains mentioned in paragraphs 2 and 3 were previously
reported The trains
rftentioned in paragraph 2, however, according to information in
Para ?aph 3 definitely went to Jueterbog-Altes Lager,,
rather than the Halle railroad district
Crnent
the two trains went .from ue er g to Kuestrink The information
that 'train was dispatched from Radis on the Bitterf eld-Wittenberg

in th eceding report, also mentioned the
`S 4
train which went from Jueterbog to Peitz
It can now definitely be stated that the d.exnents
th th Mecz D? v, which went to Jueterbog on trains
zz 8 August, returned to their quartering area on 22 and 23 August.
AAA units of the 10th Gds Tank Div possibly returned to Wolmmirstedt,, A
shipment to Jueterbog, however, could not be determined., The trains to
Bernau probably carried returning AAA units of the 6th Gds Mec Div which,
on 21 July had arrived at Jueterbog on trains
-1poI trient ; Presumably shipments of tank units of the 7th Gds Mecz Div..
Prior to 23 August,, exercises of units of this division may have been held
in the E c skow Grunow area. They may have started after 14 August, as, on
this day, three tank shipnnents to Lieberose had been dispatched from
Frankfurt/Oder. This would confirm the information
according-to which night exercises, in wh:!_ch. allegedly no tanks had
participated were held in the Frankfurt/Oder area from about 15 to 21+
August.
